Hip Surgery With a Future - New York Times

Hip resurfacing is an alternative to hip replacement for younger patients. It has been recently approved in the US by the FDA, but it has been done before internationally. Disadvantages include a bigger incision than a regular hip replacement. The NY Times article has pictures and video.
